Fluffy American Pancakes

Ingredients

  • 150g self-raising flour

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 3 tbsp sugar

  • 150ml milk

  • 1 egg, beaten

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.

  2. Make a well in the center. Add the beaten egg and half of the milk.

  3. Gradually whisk together until smooth, adding the rest of the milk to achieve a thick, pourable batter.

  4. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and lightly grease.

  5. Pour batter onto the pan to form pancakes. Cook for 2-3 minutes until bubbles form.

  6. Flip and cook 1-2 minutes more until golden brown. Keep warm while cooking the rest.

  7. Serve with toppings like syrup, fresh fruit, or whipped cream.
